Protection de l'enfance : Fermeture immédiate de l’orphelinat clandestin « Dieu peut tout » à Agnibilékrou

The Ministry of Women, Family and Children has taken a major step against the exploitation of minors. Following serious abuses discovered at the "God Can Do Anything" orphanage in Agnibilékrou, the authorities have ordered the immediate cessation of its activities.

Practices deemed degrading

The alert was raised on March 27, 2026. The owner of the facility is accused of violating the dignity of the residents by filming them and forcing them to make public appeals for help. According to the Ministry, these acts constitute nothing less than the exploitation of children's vulnerability for the purpose of begging , coupled with a flagrant violation of their right to privacy.

An outlaw structure

The investigation reveals an irregular administrative situation:

  1. Lack of approval: The establishment was operating without any official authorization.
  2. Previous refusals: An application for accreditation submitted two years ago was formally rejected, the competent services having judged that the structure did not meet the required care standards.
  3. Illegal obstinacy: Despite this refusal, the manager continued to accommodate minors, deliberately exposing them to precarious and illegal conditions.

The emergency measures ordered

Faced with the seriousness of the situation, the Minister for Women, Family and Children has taken radical decisions:

  1. The establishment will be permanently and immediately closed .
  2. Safe relocation of children to approved centers to guarantee their psychological well-being.
  3. Legal proceedings: The Public Prosecutor has been contacted to initiate proceedings against the promoter for illegal practice and exploitation of minors .
"The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to protecting vulnerable children throughout the country. No violations of fundamental rights will be tolerated."

A call for vigilance

The Ministry reminds the public that all reception centers must hold a valid license. It urges the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious facilities or observed abuse of children to social services without delay .
