ASSE : Voici comment Saint-Étienne peut devenir leader de Ligue 2 dès ce samedi !

Facing Le Mans this Saturday, October 18, they will have to win, but not only that... to be leaders of Ligue 2 ahead of Troyes.

With last night's multiplex matches, ASSE provisionally moved up to 3rd! Pau took 2nd place by drawing against Grenoble (1-1) and Troyes took 3 more points than Saint-Étienne by winning against Bastia (1-0). The good news is that if ASSE wins under certain conditions, Eirik Horneland's team can return to the top of Ligue 2 this evening.

ASSE must win by 2 goals

To claim first place, the Greens must win by a two-goal margin. Troyes has a +2 goal difference, but only a +1 goal difference. This means that ASSE has only this option to regain the lead.

It's quite doable knowing the offensive quality of the Greens... It remains to be seen whether ASSE will do the job against Le Mans, who do not intend to let themselves be pushed around in the Forez .
