The Korhogo Omnisports Club (COK) has written the most beautiful page in its history by winning the 60th edition of the National Football Cup . On Friday, May 29, 2026, on the pitch of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny stadium in Abidjan, the Korhogo team won its very first national trophy by defeating the Société Omnisports des Armées (SOA) after a thrilling penalty shootout (4-3).

A breathtaking scenario

In its very first appearance in a final, COK experienced a rollercoaster of emotions:

1. The opening goal (51st minute): Dao Lacina's men broke the deadlock thanks to a goal from Blaty Mohamed, thinking they were cruising towards victory.
2. The cold shower (Added time): While the trophy was within their grasp, the SOA military snatched the equalizer (1-1) in the final second of regulation time.
3. Extra time and penalties: After 30 more minutes of goalless play, the match was decided in a nail-biting finish. Korhogo proved more clinical, converting 4 penalties to SOA's 3.
