Crise à la Fédération Ivoirienne de Judo : Le Comité Olympique s'oppose à l'élection
The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Côte d'Ivoire has officially rejected the Elective General Assembly of the Ivorian Judo and Associated Disciplines Federation ( FIJDA ) scheduled for December 6, 2025. The NOC has notified its position to the Ministry of Sports, international judo bodies, and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), stating that it will not recognize the results of this election.
In its letter, the CNO CI outlines several major irregularities that form the basis of its opposition:
The NOC, acting on behalf of the IOC, demands the cancellation of the General Assembly of December 6, 2025, failing which it will refuse to recognize any election resulting from it.
This stance reflects the commitment of the President of the National Olympic Committee, Georges N'Goan , to combat the "manipulation and other violations of regulations" that are disrupting Ivorian sport. A respected legal expert, N'Goan does not tolerate any dysfunction related to the application of the federations' fundamental statutes.
The case of FIJDA is considered edifying, where serious irregularities led to the annulment by the arbitration and mediation tribunal of the CNO of the election of President Seydou Dabonné, his executive board, and the texts that had brought them to power.
The National Olympic Committee (CNO) reiterates that prior to any election, an Extraordinary General Assembly should have been convened to adopt new statutes and internal regulations in accordance with Law No. 2014-856 of December 22, 2014, concerning sport. Ignoring this fundamental step in favor of an immediate election, without a governing body or reliable documents, is seen as an attempt to disregard the need to rebuild a strong Ivorian judo community .
