Cyclisme : Abidjan au cœur des décisions continentales les 25 et 26 avril
Ivory Coast is poised to showcase African cycling. On April 25 and 26, 2026 , Abidjan will host the prestigious congress of the African Cycling Confederation (CAC) . This strategic summit, to be held at the Pullman Hotel, will make the Ivorian economic capital the nerve center of the sport.
Prior to the event, the Minister of Sports, Adjé Silas Metch , received Dr. Allah-Kouamé in audience on April 16 at Tower A (Plateau). Doubly involved as president of the Ivorian Cycling Federation (FIC) and the African Confederation, Dr. Allah-Kouamé came to review the preparations.
"We benefited from the minister's valuable advice and guidance to ensure that this meeting was a complete success," he stressed after the meeting.
This congress will be more than just a formal meeting. It will bring together experts and federation presidents around key pillars for the future of cycling in Africa:
Proof of the importance of this event, the president of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), David Lappartient , is expected in Abidjan as early as April 24. His presence alongside African leaders places this event in the global cycling spotlight.
The choice of Abidjan to host this congress confirms two major realities:
With just a few days until the opening, everything is in place for the "capital of the lagoons" to become, for a weekend, the true capital of cycling.
