Départ imminent pour Matvey Safonov, le PSG cherche un remplaçant expérimenté
Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to lose its number two goalkeeper, Matvey Safonov, Lucas Chevalier's backup. The 26-year-old Russian goalkeeper, who is under contract until June 2029, is expected to leave in the next transfer window.
Despite the arrival this summer of young Italian Renato Marin, formerly of AS Roma, the capital club does not seem willing to entrust him with the role of number 2 behind Chevalier. According to information from "PSG Inside Actus", PSG is looking to recruit a new goalkeeper to replace Safonov, not trusting the young Marin (19 years old) for this position.
A move to Portugal is reportedly being considered for the January transfer window, although no names have been revealed yet. As for Safonov himself, no potential destination has yet been mentioned.
