La superstar de NBA va débuter sa 18e saison sous les couleurs d’une nouvelle franchise.

The tireless Russell Westbrook isn't done yet. At 36, the American point guard has signed with the Sacramento Kings, who made his signing official on Thursday.

Not retained by the Denver Nuggets, his last team, the 2017 MVP is about to begin his 18th season in the NBA. Drafted in 2008 by the Seattle Supersonics – now the Oklahoma City Thunder – Westbrook will be discovering his seventh franchise after playing for Houston, Washington, the Lakers, the Clippers, and Denver.

A nine-time All-Star, 2012 Olympic champion, and holder of the all-time record for triple-doubles (203), Westbrook remains a living legend in American basketball. Last season, he averaged 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists with the Nuggets, who were eliminated in the Western Conference semifinals.

In Sacramento, he will bring his experience to an ambitious roster already comprised of Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Dennis Schröder. The Kings, who finished ninth in the West last season, are hoping to take a step up. Their season will begin on October 22 in Phoenix.
