Wembanyama à un contre d'un triple-double historique !
Victor Wembanyama once again dazzled the NBA, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a second consecutive victory, this time against the New Orleans Pelicans (120-116 after overtime). Just two days after his sensational 40-point comeback against Dallas, the Frenchman delivered a near-unprecedented performance on Friday night.
With 29 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocks, the 21-year-old prodigy was only one block away from achieving a particularly rare triple-double (three statistical categories with 10 units or more, here points-rebounds-blocks).
Despite a decisive 14-0 late in the game, the Spurs were pushed into overtime. "Wemby" unfortunately had to leave the court for six fouls shortly after his ninth block.
Despite Zion Williamson's (27 points, 10 rebounds) efforts to keep New Orleans afloat, Devin Vassell (23 points) and Stephon Castle (16 points) sealed the Texas victory. Victor Wembanyama continues to impress and amaze NBA fans.
