Boundiali : Opération coup de poing pour la 36e Semaine de la sécurité routière
Monday, January 5, 2025, marked the launch of the 36th National Road Safety Week in Boundiali, under the rallying cry: "All committed to a year without accidents." From the very first day, law enforcement impounded numerous motorcycles for failing to comply with safety standards.
The prefect of Boundiali, Soumahoro Soualiho, emphasized the urgency of the situation, revealing an alarming figure: seven accidents were recorded on January 2, 2026 alone. For his part, the regional director of Transportation, Koné Mamadou, stressed the mandatory wearing of helmets and adherence to speed limits. The authorities also commended the commitment of the mayor, Mariatou Koné, to installing traffic lights at the city's most dangerous intersections.
