Faced with what it describes as a veritable smear campaign orchestrated on social media and various communication channels, the Mutual Insurance Company for Employees of the General Directorate of Taxes (MADGI) is launching a legal offensive. The organization has announced its intention to prosecute those responsible for these attacks.

In an official statement, the mutual insurance company denounces the repeated dissemination of publications targeting its governance and operations. According to MADGI, this offensive is being led by the trade union organization Coordination Dignité de la DGI (CODIDGI) , with the complicity of a media outlet called "MICROLIBRE" .

The end of a reserved stance

Until now, MADGI had opted for restraint, prioritizing respect for institutions and responsibility. It reaffirms that its absolute priority remains the management of the social affairs of DGI employees, with complete transparency.

However, faced with a growing number of accusations deemed slanderous and likely to undermine the confidence of its members and partners, the mutual insurance company is changing its strategy. To stop this damage, it has decided to take legal action.

Stated objective: To formally establish responsibilities, clear the honour of the organisation and protect the reputation of its leaders.

MADGI's legal counsel has been officially mandated to file a complaint with the competent courts against the alleged perpetrators and their accomplices.
