Des officiers ivoiriens en route pour l'Inde pour une formation spécialisée en contre-terrorisme
Six officers from the Ivorian armed forces will soon fly to India to undergo advanced training in counter-terrorism and strategic security .
These military personnel are beneficiaries of the prestigious Indian Economic and Technical Cooperation (ITEC) program . The official handover of the scholarship kits took place on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Indian Embassy in Abidjan-Cocody.
Presiding over the ceremony, the Indian Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, Dr. Ranjan Rajesh , highlighted the excellent bilateral relations. He emphasized that this military program, which annually allows some fifteen Ivorian officers to enhance their skills, exemplifies the new dynamic of cooperation.
This dynamic has recently materialized in the following ways:
“Cooperation between Ivory Coast and India is going well. This military program is a clear illustration of that,” said Ambassador Dr. Rajesh.
The event also provided an opportunity to congratulate Ivorian professionals who had successfully completed online Management Business Administration (MBA) programs . These programs, fully funded by renowned Indian universities, represent, according to the diplomat, a major opportunity for Ivorians seeking to enhance their skills.
Among the honored recipients, Cissé Soungalo , an executive at the Ministry of Transport, expressed his deep gratitude to the Indian government for its constant commitment to strengthening Ivorian capacities.
