Sécurité nationale : Les forces de police ivoiriennes s'arment contre la fraude à l'identité
In a context of increasingly sophisticated forgery methods, Côte d'Ivoire is strengthening its security apparatus. From February 9 to 13, 2026 , several police units in the north and center of the country underwent intensive training dedicated to combating document and identity fraud.

The sessions, led by experts from the Bureau for Combating Documentary Fraud (BFD) attached to the DST, enabled agents to improve their techniques in several key areas:
"This initiative concretely strengthens the operational effectiveness of our services in the face of increasingly sophisticated fraud methods." — Chief Commissioner Simon Digbeu , Head of Police for the Bouaké District.
To translate this training into concrete results, the session concluded with the handover of 30 portable analysis devices . This state-of-the-art equipment will allow police stations in Bouaké, Ferkessédougou, Niakara, Kouto, Boundiali, Katiola, Sakassou, Béoumi, and Botro to conduct more reliable and rigorous identity checks.
According to Emile Kra, representative of the ICMPD, this program is part of a long-term commitment to support Côte d'Ivoire in securing its migration governance.
