Sud-Comoé : fin de cavale pour “NAK”, le voleur solitaire aux quinze écrans

The manhunt lasted several weeks, but it has just ended. In Sud-Comoé, the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI) brought an end to the activities of a particularly methodical thief, nicknamed “NAK”, known for his numerous nighttime burglaries.

Behind an apparent tranquility, “NAK” ran a well-oiled machine: the targeted theft of televisions. In total, fifteen homes were robbed, often in the dead of night, without any neighbors noticing. According to initial findings of the investigation, the suspect acted alone, carefully choosing his targets and operating with near-professional precision.

Faced with a growing number of complaints, the BRI (Brigade de Recherche et d'Intervention - Research and Intervention Brigade) intensified its investigations. The testimonies gathered revealed a crucial detail: a man was trying to resell a 43-inch JVC television, matching one of the recently stolen items. This information immediately directed the investigation.

A discreet operation was then carried out. Caught red-handed, “NAK” was arrested without resistance. He reportedly confessed to the crimes and admitted to committing about fifteen burglaries in several villages, including Koffikro, the latest victim in his spree.

This arrest puts an end to a wave of robberies that had been worrying residents of Sud-Comoé for several weeks. Thanks to the vigilance of law enforcement and the investigative work of the BRI (Research and Intervention Brigade), calm is gradually returning to the region.
