Côte d’Ivoire : la DGTTC renforce la lutte contre les plaques masquées ou modifiées
The DGTTC has launched a large-scale national operation targeting vehicles circulating with obscured, altered, or non-compliant license plates . The operation covers the entire national territory .
According to the authorities in charge of land transport, this initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen road safety and combat recurring vehicle identification violations. Offenders face immediate penalties , including vehicle impoundment , in addition to the fines stipulated by current regulations.
The DGTTC reminds everyone that license plates must be legible, compliant and unaltered , in order to allow for effective control, facilitate investigations in the event of an offense or accident, and combat road and urban insecurity.
This operation comes at a time when authorities are stepping up their efforts to improve traffic flow , reduce traffic offenses, and strengthen compliance with the highway code. Road users are therefore urged to strictly adhere to the rules , under penalty of sanctions.
