Sinotruk et Rimco propulsent la formation technique automobile
The Ivorian industrial landscape is about to reach a new milestone. On April 16, 2026, Zhao Hua , Deputy General Manager and President of Sinotruk International , took advantage of his official visit to Abidjan to seal the Chinese giant's commitment to the transfer of technological know-how.
The partnership between Sinotruk and the Ivorian Rimco Setaci is taking shape with the launch of an ambitious project: the creation of an academic training center in the heart of the Yopougon industrial zone.
For Zhao Hua, a truck's reliability depends not only on its construction but also on the quality of its maintenance. The center will offer advanced training modules on:
"The profitability of a heavy goods vehicle depends on the driver-technician team. This center addresses a critical need in the local market."
— Hassan Hodroj , General Manager of Rimco.
This training project is just the first pillar of a broader strategy. The ultimate ambition of both partners is to transform Côte d'Ivoire into a regional hub for heavy vehicles.
| Step 1: Training | Step 2: Assembly | Step 3: Autonomy |
| Creation of a skilled workforce (Yopougon Centre). | Planned launch of a local assembly plant . | Reduced dependence on imports and lower logistics costs. |
By investing in local human capital, Sinotruk strengthens its continental roots while offering Ivorian youth concrete prospects in a rapidly changing automotive sector.
