In an operation worthy of an action movie, South African police carried out a perilous intervention to recover the remains of a presumed victim. An officer was lowered by rope into predator-infested waters to extract a 4.5-meter , 500-kg specimen.
It all begins near a submerged bridge where the vehicle of a missing man is found abandoned. Fearing that the driver may have been swept away by the current, the authorities deploy drones and helicopters.

"Getting close to a crocodile's head is never an ideal situation," he later admitted.
Suspended by a cable, the officer manages to secure the behemoth. The image is striking: man and predator are hoisted together into the air to be transported to Kruger National Park .
The reptile's autopsy confirmed investigators' worst fears. Inside its stomach, specialists found:
Lieutenant General Puleng Dimpane was keen to commend the exceptional courage of his teams, describing this mission as a demonstration of professionalism in extreme conditions.
