Bouaké 2026 : Le maire Amadou Koné lance l'opération « Grand Ménage » post-réveillon
No sooner had the New Year's festivities ended than the city of Bouaké resumed its fight against unsanitary conditions. This Friday, January 2, 2026, at dawn, Mayor Amadou Koné led a large-scale cleanup operation aimed at erasing all traces of the New Year's Eve celebrations.
Equipped with gloves and boots, the mayor personally mobilized citizens and municipal services. The objective was clear: to manage the excess waste generated by the influx of visitors and ensure the gutters were cleared. "It is imperative to immediately restore our streets to their former glory," the mayor emphasized.
Since 2023, Amadou Koné has been working to transform the mindset of the residents, encouraging each inhabitant to maintain their own doorstep. This grassroots leadership strategy is bearing fruit, establishing Bouaké as a true Ivorian model of urban management and cleanliness.
