Mali : Fin imminente de la date d’expiration des crédits téléphoniques ?
Is a small revolution brewing in Mali's telecommunications sector? Following a complaint filed by the Malian Consumers Association (ASCOMA), the Directorate General of Trade, Consumer Affairs and Competition (DGCC) has officially ruled that the practice of losing credit after its expiration is inadmissible. This decision, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has triggered an immediate investigation into the operators' practices.
The tide is already turning: Orange Mali has taken the lead by announcing the elimination of the validity period for its credits and bonuses. The DGCC (General Directorate of Competition and Consumer Affairs) is now urging other market players to follow suit to ensure greater fairness. The authorities reaffirm their commitment to protecting users' rights and putting a definitive end to this long-standing practice.
