Plan national de développement (PND) 2026-2030 : Succès « historique » à Abidjan avec 80 milliards de dollars mobilisés
The Advisory Group for Financing the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 concluded its exceptional work on July 8 and 9, 2026, in Abidjan. Partners and investors announced financing commitments totaling US$80 billion (47,820 billion CFA francs) , quadrupling the initial target set by the Ivorian government for public investments (11,138.2 billion CFA francs).
The President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, warmly welcomed this result, which he described as historic:
"I welcome this success, which demonstrates the confidence that the international community places in Côte d'Ivoire, the strength of its fundamentals, and the credibility of its strategy and development prospects."
This five-year plan, whose leitmotif is "Building a Great, Stable, Ambitious and United Nation" , is based on a large-scale financial strategy:
To structurally transform the country, the government has defined six major priorities:
By the end of the decade, Côte d'Ivoire aims to join the ranks of upper-middle-income economies . The targeted indicators are clear: to reach a GDP per capita of US$4,500 and to reduce the poverty rate to below 20% .
In conclusion, Alassane Ouattara reminded the executive branch of its duty in the face of this financial enthusiasm: "Our responsibility will be to transform this confidence into tangible achievements for every Ivorian," citing the construction of schools, hospitals, roads and the creation of jobs as absolute priorities for shared prosperity.
