Pastef "déchire" la décision du Pr Diomaye : Sa réaction officielle sur l'affaire "Diomaye Président"

Pastef has just officially reacted, following the statement from President Diomaye instituting changes in the "Diomaye President" Coalition.

In its press release, which Seneweb has reviewed, the political party led by Ousmane Sonko specifies that "Mr. Bassirou Diomaye FAYE does not have the power to dismiss Mrs. Aissatou MBODJ, who was appointed by the Conference of Leaders."

Pastef then declared that "the coalition never had Bassirou Diomaye Faye as its president; he was merely its candidate." Sonko's party added that it and its allies do not recognize themselves in any initiative coordinated by Mimi Touré. They stated that they share "neither the same values nor the same principles" with her.

Pastef first clarified that the restructuring project mentioned by President Diomaye has already been initiated. They explained that after the March 2024 presidential election, the task was entrusted to the coalition and its president, Aïssatou MBODJ. This resulted in the drafting of all the necessary preparatory documents, including the charter, internal regulations, and organizational structure.

“Following an inclusive process, these texts were shared with all stakeholders gathered in the Leaders’ Conference group, and are awaiting validation. A name has even been proposed for the new coalition: APTE (Patriotic Alliance for Work and Ethics), considering that ‘Diomaye President’ has achieved his electoral objective,” explains Pastef.

Thus, the party indicates that it is pursuing its agenda consisting, on the one hand, of merging with allied organizations and expanding its militant base, and on the other hand, of completing the APTE coalition, under the presidency of Aïda MBODJ.
