708 jeunes volontaires transforment le quotidien de 64 mairies
The National Volunteer Program (PNVB) 2025 is gaining momentum. Officially launched on December 5th, this initiative now has 708 young people actively engaged in 64 Ivorian municipalities . The National Civic Service Office (OSCN) has just completed a major field monitoring mission to assess the impact of this deployment.
The assessment took place in two key stages to cover the entire territory:
These volunteers are not just there for show. They now constitute an essential lever for local authorities by intervening on three pillars:
“These visits allow us to verify that our volunteers have the necessary conditions to succeed. It is a framework for exchange to strengthen the contribution of young people to local development,” explains Dr. Ouattara Katolognan , director at OSCN.
For Minister Mamadou Touré , this initiative professionalizes volunteering in Côte d'Ivoire, transforming young people into key players in social cohesion. A sentiment shared by local elected officials: in San-Pedro, the town hall's general secretariat welcomes this "invaluable support" which boosts the efficiency of municipal services.
The ultimate goal remains clear: to ensure that each volunteer is in the right place, has the necessary equipment and that their mission remains perfectly aligned with the needs of the population.
