Don de sang : La Cour de cassation répond à l’appel du gouvernement
The Court of Cassation has once again mobilized for blood donation, organizing its fifth collection campaign on October 17, in Plateau, in the premises of its general secretariat.
This initiative is part of a resolution of the Council of Ministers of May 8, 2024, which established a quarterly blood collection within all public institutions.
An immediate and welcomed commitment
Yua Koffi, senior magistrate and president of the Court of Cassation, welcomed this government resolution, emphasizing that it only takes on its full meaning through its effective implementation. He expressed his pride in seeing his institution respond "immediately to this call," thanks to the mobilization of his teams.
The President particularly congratulated the Social Affairs Department for having carried out this mission with "rigor, efficiency and above all with heart", and paid tribute to the teams of the National Blood Transfusion Centre (CNTS) for their crucial role between donors and patients.
"We will continue to welcome these donation campaigns with seriousness, warmth and responsibility," he said, emphasizing that each edition is an "act of citizenship, an act of fraternity" and a fidelity to the ideal of justice, which involves the recognition of human dignity.
A positive assessment and lives saved
Coulibaly Salimata, Director of Social Affairs, reviewed the blood drives from the first edition on July 12, 2024, to the 4th edition on May 9, 2025.
In total, 62 voluntary donors, including 52 members of the Court of Cassation, responded to the call, enabling 110 bags of blood to be collected.
"Behind these figures are lives saved, families supported, and an institution that demonstrates concrete solidarity," she said. She warmly thanked the donors, whom she considers the embodiment of solidarity and the humanity of public service.
