The suspense is over for voters in Toumodi and Dualla . Following the Constitutional Council's annulment of the December 27, 2025 election results, the official dates for the rerun of the legislative elections are now known.

Why a new vote?

After reviewing numerous appeals filed by candidates alleging various "irregularities," the electoral judge issued a ruling on January 9, 2026. The Constitutional Council deemed it necessary to annul the initial victories to guarantee the integrity of the election in two key areas:

Toumodi (Commune) : Where Hervé Aliali (PDCI) was initially proclaimed the winner with 49.09% of the votes.
Dualla and Massala (Commune and Sub-prefecture) : Where Mamadou Dosso had won.

The electoral calendar

Candidates will need to return to the field for a rapid campaign to win over voters again. Here are the key dates:
