Lutte contre la précarité : "Popote familiale", le nouveau souffle des foyers ivoiriens
Faced with the high cost of living, the Ivorian government is stepping up its support for the most vulnerable households. Launched in June 2025, the "Family Meals" project is already transforming the daily lives of many families, from Bémadi to Daloa.
Lives saved through support: In Bémadi (Issia), Bouabré Gnaléba and Nadège Tagro, the parents of eight children, narrowly escaped tragedy. Thanks to the intervention of the Ministry of Women, Family and Children, their newborns were saved from malnutrition.
"The social center provided us with milk, baby bottles and trained us in better nutritional practices," explains a relieved Nadège.
Concrete aid against inflation . The project goes beyond advice. It provides direct material assistance. In Daloa, Esther Kouadio, who manages a household of twenty people, testifies to the relief brought by the food kits (rice, oil, pasta): “Buying rice at 600 FCFA per kilo had become a daily struggle. This aid has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.”
A targeted solidarity scheme
