Alerted at 7:59 a.m. to a person threatening to jump from a height opposite the South train station, emergency services immediately deployed a significant response. A fire engine, a resuscitation ambulance, and a team from the Hazardous Environment Reconnaissance and Intervention Group (GRIMP) were dispatched.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a man of about 37 years old perched on the 13th floor of an office building under construction, threatening to take his own life.
Thanks to the professionalism of the intervention teams, the man was quickly subdued and then taken into the care of the on-site medical team. After initial treatment, he was transported to the Bingerville Psychiatric Hospital for specialized care.
The report indicates that one person was rescued and evacuated.
The gendarmerie, the police, and the duty officer of sector 1 were also present on the scene to secure the operation.

Authorities urge the public to prioritize dialogue with those suffering, to alert emergency services promptly, and to avoid any behavior that could worsen the situation.
