Santé des enseignants : La Mupemenet-CI et la CMU s'unissent pour réduire les coûts
In a press release published on Monday, March 16, 2026, the Mutual Insurance Company for National Education and Technical Training Staff (Mupemenet-CI) announced a major step forward in providing health coverage for Ivorian teachers. Under the leadership of its Chairman of the Board, Michaël Boko, the mutual insurance company is strengthening its partnership with the Universal Health Coverage (CMU) program to transform access to healthcare.
The "One-Stop Shop" for Minimal Out-of-Pocket Costs: From now on, the health centers of the mutual insurance company operate as a one-stop shop. The principle is simple: the CMU (Universal Health Coverage) acts as the basic plan, and Mupemenet-CI provides supplemental coverage. This combination optimizes third-party payment, thus significantly reducing—or even eliminating—direct costs for teachers.
Geographic expansion and local service: The modernization program, launched in 2019, is accelerating. In addition to the four centers already operational, the mutual insurance company announces the upcoming opening of three new facilities in Bouaké, Daloa, and Soubré . These establishments guarantee not only negotiated rates but also increased availability of essential medications covered by the CMU (Universal Health Coverage).
Digitalization and Prevention: Positioning itself as the country's first 100% digital mutual insurance company, Mupemenet-CI relies on innovative tools such as the "Ma Menet" application and a 24/7 call center. Beyond curative care, this partnership emphasizes prevention with screening campaigns (diabetes, hypertension) and improved traceability of medical follow-up.
