Immediate measures to clear the roads

The objective is clear: to avoid paralyzing the Northern Highway, as happened last year. To achieve this, the authorities have announced several priority interventions:

1. Construction of passageways to facilitate water drainage.
2. Removal of illegal embankments that are currently blocking natural conduits.
3. Technical cleaning of rainwater convergence zones.

"One-off interventions are no longer sufficient. We must combine the urgency with a short and medium-term vision to definitively resolve this problem," stated Minister Amédé Kouakou.

The impact of human activity in question

The technical diagnosis is unequivocal: the natural drainage basin has been severely degraded by uncoordinated human development. Minister Hien Sié Yacouba reiterated that a highway closure, even for just one day, represents an unacceptable blow to the national economy.

An appeal to the civic responsibility of economic operators

The government does not intend to act alone. A firm appeal has been launched to local residents and industrial operators in the area:

1. Comply with standards : All developments must be validated by state services.
2. Harmonizing constructions : Private projects must be integrated into the overall sanitation plan.
3. Accountability : Private investments must not compromise the viability of such a strategic infrastructure as the highway.
