Assurance africaine : Koné Mamadou élu président de la FANAF
The president of the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d'Ivoire (ASACI), Mamadou Koné , was elected on February 11, 2026 to head the Federation of African National Law Insurance Companies (FANAF), during the 50th General Assembly held in Abidjan.
As Managing Director of SanlamAllianz Côte d'Ivoire , he succeeds César Ekomie-Afene of Gabon following a vote by the national member associations. This election comes at a strategic time for the insurance sector in Africa, which is facing the challenges of digitalization, governance, and expanding insurance coverage.
With this appointment, Côte d'Ivoire strengthens its influence within the continental financial ecosystem. The new president of FANAF will be tasked with accelerating the modernization of the sector and consolidating cooperation between African insurance markets.
