Développement et Paix : Robert Beugré Mambé trace le futur de la région des Grands Ponts

The Ivorian Prime Minister, Robert Beugré Mambé , received the people of the Grands Ponts region this Saturday, April 11, 2026, in his village of Abiaté 2. Between promises of structural transformations and calls for stability, the head of government reaffirmed the State's will to revitalize this strategic hub.

An ambitious transformation plan

The Prime Minister pledged to personally convey the grievances of the people to the President of the Republic. The stated objective is clear: to anticipate needs in order to sustainably improve the daily lives of Ivorians.

Here are the priorities identified by department:

  1. Dabou:
  2. Launch of the paving of rural roads to facilitate agricultural transport and access to healthcare.
  3. Construction of the Grands Ponts Regional Hospital Centre (CHR) .
  4. Construction of the annex university campus of the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University.
  5. Jacqueville:
  6. Paving of the Jacqueville–Toukouzou–Noumouzou road.
  7. Development of the Atoutou–coastal road.
  8. Grand-Lahou:
  9. Extension of the municipal boundaries (including Braffedon and Lahou-Kpanda) to restore its status as a coastal town.
  10. Opening up access to the sub-prefectures (Ahouanou, Bacanda, Ebounou).
  11. Final stabilization of the electrical grid.

Peace and Cohesion: The Message of Responsibility

Beyond infrastructure, Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the social climate, which is particularly sensitive after the presidential election of October 2025.

"Violence and disorder are not solutions. The future of our youth is built on work, education, and stability."

Addressing concerns about the fate of young people incarcerated following recent tensions, he urged families and local leaders to foster a spirit of unity. For the Prime Minister, socio-professional integration remains the best defense against instability, committing the government to increasing opportunities so that every young person can contribute to national development.

In summary: The visit marked a key step in the dialogue between the executive and the region, sealing a pact between economic progress and social reconciliation .
