After taking the written exams on Monday, May 18, 2026, the young candidates for the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEPE) are now awaiting their results. To avoid any ambiguity, the Directorate of Examinations and Competitions (DECO) has published an official notice outlining the strict admission criteria and the rigorous rules for this session.

Admission criteria: The points system

To obtain the coveted diploma this year, the passing grade is set at the overall average. The grading scale is as follows:

  1. For official candidates: Admission is granted to any student who has obtained a Total General Points (TGP) greater than or equal to 85 out of 170 (i.e. a minimum average of 10/20).
  2. For independent candidates: The conditions remain the same. A total score of 85 out of 170 (i.e., an average of 10/20) must be obtained in the final assessment (T1) .
⚠️ DECO's motto: "Together, let's say NO to fraud!"

Fraud and missing copies: Zero tolerance

The DECO reminds everyone that compliance with examination standards is imperative and warns against negligence or cheating:

  1. Copy not handed in = 00/20: Any candidate who does not hand in their copy at the end of an exam will immediately be given a grade of zero.
  2. Procedure for verifying the absence of a copy: The absence of a copy is formally recorded in the minutes of the examination room and noted in the report of the jury chair. If necessary, a written statement from the candidate may be required as additional evidence.

The three final entries on the transcript

Following the deliberations, each candidate will receive their transcript or certificate of completion. The document must include one of the following three statements:

Mention Meaning
"Admitted" The candidate has reached or exceeded 85 points.
"Refused" The candidate did not achieve the required total points.
" Fraud " The candidate was sanctioned for cheating or irregularity.
