Crise au CNO-CIV : Me Georges N’goan rejette en bloc les accusations de mauvaise gestion
Faced with the protest led by the "Groupe Solidarité" collective, the president of the Ivorian National Olympic Committee (CNO-CIV), Georges N'goan, firmly denied any involvement in the tensions currently shaking certain sports federations. In an official statement published this Saturday, March 21, 2026, he responded point by point to the grievances raised by his detractors.
The conflict has crystallized the opposition between the leadership of the CNO-CIV (National Olympic Committee of Ivory Coast) and a group of federation presidents (Judo, Boxing, Rugby, Table Tennis). The latter denounce opaque management and statutory violations. Mr. N'goan retorted that the Committee is in no way responsible for the internal crises within these federations, pointing out that the most vocal members of the "Solidarity" group are precisely those whose own structures are experiencing turbulence (fictitious clubs in Judo, a dual leadership structure in Boxing).
The president provided details on the four pillars of the protest:
The treasurer, Professor Alfred Karou, supported these remarks, specifying that over one billion CFA francs in the projected budget comes from state contributions. These funds are strategically allocated to two major objectives: preparing young athletes for Dakar 2026 and planning for the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
Note: The CNO-CIV seems to want to put an end to the fun by pointing out internal irregularities in the dissenting federations in order to discredit their movement.
