Maltraitance animale : Le CACCI porte plainte après la mort tragique de plusieurs chiens
A wave of outrage has swept through Ivory Coast following revelations of animal cruelty. Faced with the alleged deaths of several dogs in agonizing circumstances, the Ivory Coast Canine Friends Committee (CACCI) has decided to take legal action.
On Sunday, July 5, 2026, members of CACCI held an emergency meeting in Cocody-Angré. During this crisis meeting, the association's president, Souleymane Titi Touré , officially announced the filing of a complaint with the Cocody gendarmerie against the alleged perpetrators of these barbaric acts.
This legal reaction comes directly from the dissemination of alarming images and information on social media, documenting the torture and killing of canines.
The objective of this extraordinary meeting was clear: to take stock of the situation, harmonize the position of the actors in the sector and plan concrete actions to strengthen animal protection.
Souleymane Titi Touré did not hide his emotion and anger at the recurrence of these acts:
"The observation is bitter. Every day, dogs are shot, abandoned, starved, killed, or even poisoned, sometimes under the indifferent gaze of society."
Reaffirming the Cacci's unwavering commitment to animal welfare, its president made a solemn appeal for unity. The association invites the entire canine community to mobilize massively to defend this cause.
The stated objective is to establish a lasting synergy to eradicate all forms of mistreatment and guarantee dignified treatment for animals in Ivory Coast.
