L’ambassadeur de Côte d’Ivoire au Sénégal, Mamadou Haidara, prône l’unité et la cohésion sociale lors du Festival ECOFEST (Par Moctar Sissoko)
Dans le cadre de la première édition du Festival ouest-africain des arts et de la culture (ECOFEST), l’ambassadeur de la République de Côte d’Ivoire au Sénégal, Mamadou Haidara, a effectué ce mardi 2 décembre une visite aux exposants et artistes présents au monument de la Renaissance africaine à Dakar. Cette manifestation, lancée le 30 novembre 2025 par le Premier ministre sénégalais Ousmane Sonko, se tient jusqu’au 6 décembre et rassemble une riche diversité culturelle de la région.
Accueilli par la délégation ivoirienne composée d’une quarantaine de personnes, dont des artistes, musiciens, plasticiens, sculpteurs, ainsi que des représentants du patrimoine immatériel et matériel, Mamadou Haidara a insisté sur l’importance de l’engagement culturel et de l’intégration africaine. Cette délégation est conduite par M. Hien Sié, directeur de cabinet adjoint de la ministre de la Culture et de la Francophonie de Côte d’Ivoire.
Dans son allocution, l’ambassadeur Haidara a adressé un message fort en faveur de la paix et de l’unité dans la sous-région. « Mettre la population au centre de nos préoccupations et leur offrir un moment de joie est un moyen de rapprochement essentiel », a-t-il souligné, rappelant les nombreux défis auxquels la région est confrontée. Il a également indiqué que la Côte d’Ivoire reste pleinement engagée dans ces dynamiques, témoignant de son attachement à la stabilité et au développement de la région.
Lors de cette visite, le Commissaire Général du Festival International du Zaouli (FEIZA), M. Koffi Amani, a aussi insisté sur le rôle primordial de la culture dans la résolution des conflits. « La culture permet de mieux se connaître, d’appréhender les us et coutumes des uns et des autres, et ainsi de construire une véritable unité africaine. Nous sommes en train de comprendre que nous ne formons qu’un seul peuple », a-t-il affirmé.
M. Amani a rappelé que la Côte d’Ivoire, pays comptant plus de 60 ethnies, a su construire « une nation » malgré cette diversité. Cette réussite, a-t-il déclaré, est un exemple pour toute l’Afrique lorsqu’il s’agit de dépasser les conflits ethniques et sociaux.
Enfin, le Dr Kadio, membre du ministère ivoirien de la Culture et de la Francophonie, a rappelé que la participation de la Côte d’Ivoire au Festival va bien au-delà du simple aspect patrimonial. Selon lui, « la Côte d’Ivoire est présente à travers ses arts traditionnels, comme la danse Zaouli et le tchéké, mais aussi via la peinture, la sculpture et la photographie », dont plusieurs œuvres participent à un concours organisé dans le cadre de l’ECOFEST.
La visite de l’ambassadeur Haidara au monument de la Renaissance africaine s’est achevée sur une prestation de danse Zaouli, accompagnée de musiques traditionnelles ivoiriennes, témoignant du dynamisme culturel et du rayonnement de la Côte d’Ivoire dans cet événement régional.
